A statewide gathering co-hosted by the Cultural Alliance of Maine and the University of Southern Maine.

It's time to convene in person and discuss the future of cultural work in Maine.

What is required of arts & humanities leadership in this moment (and the next)? Which next practices and narratives are emerging right now (or need to)? What future can we build better together with knowledge from across our different sectors of cultural practice?

Cultural workers are navigating real pressures right now. Taking stock of new and growing threats, and sharing strategies to navigate them, is essential.

At the same time, new opportunities are also emerging, with the growing recognition that creativity is tied to our collective well-being and future.

This convening will bring together leaders, practitioners, workers, and students from across the cultural, educational, philanthropic, and civic sectors. Together we'll have a full day of real conversations about where the field stands, and where it can go with inspired vision, leadership, and partnership. Students attend for free.
