On Friday, March 6, 2026, USM Athletics and Student Engagement & Belonging will host a special event focused on the topic of Mental Health for our students featuring Mallory from Minding Your Mind. A young adult mental health advocate, athlete and youth lacrosse coach, Mallory will share her honest story of overcoming emotional challenges. Mallory will join us Friday morning to present on the topic: Stories over Stigma.

We are excited to welcome Mallory to USM; specifically to the Gorham campus. As a former student-athlete, she speaks from a place of profound lived experiences. Mallory is incredibly engaging and I am pleased that she is willing to share her journey with our student-athlete population and campus partners. I am confident that you find her message impactful.

This event is open to all USM student-athletes and fellow students. We encourage you to join us as we come together to support mental health awareness and celebrate the power of sharing stories. Light refreshments (muffins, juice) will be available. Please register below by Friday, February 27, 2026.

Please contact Kim Turner (kmturner@maine.edu) or Kelly Maguire (kelly.e.maguire@maine.edu) at USM with any questions! Thank you and please remember to RSVP using this link: https://forms.gle/MA1VhzGqg2a7bJ7a8
