Please join us for a Behind-the-Scenes Library Tour for students interested in exploring careers in libraries, museums, and/or information sciences! Learn about some of the many different jobs you can have in a library and the people who work in those roles at USM. Ask questions, see how things work behind the scenes, and connect with staff and classmates.

We currently have two tours scheduled:
Thursday, April 17, 1-3pm (Portland)
Tuesday, April 22, 2-4pm (Gorham)

Please note that the Gorham tour will be shorter due to fewer staff and a smaller library, but that we will do our best to summarize positions there and make any desired connections.

PAGE TURNERS is a project of the L&L Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Committee, seeking to:
1. Increase hiring and inclusion of diverse perspectives in our libraries.
2. Provide opportunities for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, Disabled, Neurodivergent, First Generation, and other underrepresented students to explore careers and education in Library and Information Sciences.
3. Empower more students to see themselves in library professions.
